Espresso Martini
One thing I learned during the 2020 quarantine is that I love cocktails, almost as much as my morning coffee. My husband, Kevin, decided in late March that he would make a different cocktail everyday until “Phase 1” was over in Massachusetts. Since I am a loving and supportive wife, I figured the right thing to do was to try them all. This meant we tried a different adult beverage 52 days in a row! He aimed at making a majority of classic cocktails that didn’t require unusual ingredients. This made it much easier and cheaper, as we didn’t have to go to the liquor store too often. He also bought smaller coupe glasses. The smaller glasses made it easier for us try each drink and not get drunk.
If you would like to try this adventure, I have 3 suggestions (1) buy lots of lemons and limes- many of the classics use citrus (2) find milk thistle capsules at your favorite health/nutrition store-this is a supplement good for the liver (3) make sure you have plenty of coffee for the next morning (ahem… bean 13 coffee :-).
For my first blog entry on this site, I find this recipe very fitting and we hope you enjoy it.
Cheers!
Jen
